Sydney presented her recent work at the department Graduate Research Symposium, and she was awarded first place for her talk! Way to go, Sydney!

Matthew drove to the U of R to talk about his work with the auditory group there. He met a lot of really great researchers doing really great work. It is reassuring to see an institution that puts a priority on auditory research, as all of them should!

Jonas dropped by Buffalo on his way to the big SfN meeting. He gave a really interesting talk about his work with dynamic clamp studying interactions between excitatory and inhibitory inputs in LSO. We also caught up with James, who reports he is off to medical school next year. We all went out for lunch afterwards, but a certain PI forgot to get a picture! Bummer! Now Jonas will just have to come back again so we can fix that.
