Soham visits the lab

Soham Chanda, currently a postdoc with Tom Südhof and Marius Wernig at Stanford, came to visit. He met with current graduate students in the department to talk about the postdoc life, and also to talk about his current work focussing on neuroligins. It was great to see you, Soham! Matthew wrote an article called Some nerves: How loud noise may change hearing for the website The Conversation, which publishes articles about diverse topics in research and opinion. The article covers Tenzin and Xiaowen's recent work on how activity affects synapses formed by auditory nerve fibers. The pictures were their idea!
