Sydney awarded an Abate Fellowship

Sydney was selected to receive a Fellowship from Joseph Abate, DMD, who generously supports undergraduate research in the Department of Biological Sciences. Sydney will stay in Buffalo this summer to continue her project doing in vivo optogenetics. Congratulations, Sydney!

Nicole presents at the Celebration of Student Excellence

Nicole was selected as one of five graduate students from the College of Arts and Sciences to present at UB's annual Celebration of Student Excellence. Quite an honor! She showed her work developing a model of acoustic hyperactivity to induce synaptic changes. Way to go, Nicole!
