Nicole's study of how quickly auditory nerve synapses change following noise exposure or conductive hearing loss was just accepted by the Journal of Neuroscience. The reviewers were super nice, one even saying the paper will "serve as a shining example" for its use of statistics. We aim to deserve such praise. Way to go, Nicole, for doing the experiments, and then finding the Anderson-Darling many-to-one non-parametric comparison test!

Nicole was invited to give a talk in the Neurobiology Seminar series at Kaiserslautern by honorary lab member Jonas Fisch, in Eckard Friauf's lab. She presented her thesis work through Zoom. Great job, Nicole!

Nicole defended her PhD thesis today. The title was "Signalling mechanisms of activity-dependent plasticity at auditory nerve synapses." Lots of people attended in person and by Zoom. Way to go, Nicole!
